blast from the past

Walking down the shoreline his thoughts imitated the sea. The onslaught was as relentless as the waves. He thought over it again an again. What was the one mistake that he kept on making. Or was it mere co-incidence. It had started well enough. Sleepless nights and sleepy days. But always a shadow of doubt in his mind. Well aware of the consequences he still wanted to get into trouble.
A black car passed by the winding road alongside, gleaming in the moonlight. The lights blinding him for a moment. The light at the end of the tunnel, he chuckled to himself. Then again he paused. The thought scared him for a moment. Grim thoughts do not come by as easily as scary ones. He spotted something gleaming a little ahead and broke into a sprint. The sand beneath his feet felt cold, sending shivers down the spine, yet it had a calming effect. Being a member of college athletics, the effort hardly strained him.
What he saw amused him to no end. It was the same coin. They had started appearing about two months earlier. The first one he saw had strange markings over it. Over 10 years he had build up a respectable horde of coins from all over the world. But this coin was like no other. There was a strange glow to it. It was as if he had dreamed of it once. Or multiple times. But it was a feeling like no other. It now held a place of honor amongst the collection. Something about it hit him at a very primal level. Then these coins started appearing with increasing regularity. No two coins the same, each with a different aura to it. But each evoking a feeling of deja vu.

music and lyrics

the title of this post is a direct consequence of a movie with the same name.the movie reminded me of a editorial i had read earlier- it is dialogues that make us remember the movie...for example what does not kill you, only makes you stranger..now if you are wondering its a typo no its not....for those who remember this gem is from the dark knight...even if the plot is not good a few well mouthed shots here and there will get the job done...some movies might offend the sensibilities of the viewer, but the intellectual-ness aside we should remember that the whole point of watching a movie is entertainment....no one ever mentioned anything about making sense...
