moooo-viz

the recent godzilla movie fails to leave a lasting impression. with a run time of around two hours, there are hardly any shots of godzilla himself. the scenes that he does manage to show up in, are thoroughly smokey and shakey. and this kinda kills the point of a movie on godzilla. the creature himself looks vaguely out of proportion and wierd, almost like as if a jaeger out of pacific rim forgot which muvie he was supposed to star in. add to this the potrayal of a rivalry between an "apex" hunter and other insects - which ends in godzilla killing them and walking away, one does tend to wonder what was the point of it. if indeed godzilla was hunting them then shudnt the hunter be eating his kill?. whats the point of showing up, killing and walking away - one should point out its godzilla and not james bond.all in all its riddled with holes and is not upto the mark. the old godzilla still remains a favorite.
which brings us to xmen-days of the future past. for me what sorely lacked in the movie was the absence of gambit. a crowd favorite, he should be included in all movies by default. but in a way quicksilver does make up for it. the calm and confident potrayal, puts barry allen at the start line ,while quicksilver is already doing victory laps. and a surprise addition to the movie was blink. reminded me of the game portal. her display of powers is simply amazing to watch. but again a flaw arises why doesnt she portal the sentinels far away when they are flying towards them in a fight. additionally putting mystique as a vital ingredient to mutation sounds flawed since she can only change her appearance. what sentinels are potrayed to be doing is more in the realm of darwin or rogue.discrepancies aside the movie has its funny moments and the young charles is just over the top.

stranger

guarded heavily the elf stayed,
an eye out for strangers,
he always kept,
after centuries in this mortal world,
all he learnt was to be,
beware of strangers.
time and again they proved it to him,
trust in them was a mortal sin,
for strangers care naught abt others,
justified in their selfishness they are,
for the elf is also but a,
stranger to them,
a stranger or a friend,
only time will tell,
for the diff between them is one,
a stranger will use u,
not a friend.
self absorbed are strangers so,
they use the elf very thorough,
their goals met,
their happiness set,
the elf is left to his guarded burrow.

Kyun mujhse khafa, tu hai mere khuda
Deewane se tere, kya ho gayi khata
Jo ho gaya juda...
Ho jaaunga tabah

the opposite

a sea of peace,
mountains of happiness,
valleys flooding with her light,
plains rolling in her shadow,
a lake of calm,
streams twisting with her smile,

aise kabhi pehle,
hui na thi kabhi khwaishein,
uljhan meri suljha de,
chahun main  ya na,
aankhon aankhon main jata de,
chahun main ya na,

the dream too good to live,
the reality too harsh to live,
she asked do u never want to see me?,
he looked away, walked on,
whispering- on the contrary,
i want just the opposite.
